How a Random Name Picker Works
A random draw is not just clicking one name. A common method shuffles the list and takes the first N; cryptographic randomness is harder to predict than Math.random. Freeze the list before drawing and record the result to make it reproducible.
Shuffle then take
Fisher-Yates shuffle: walk from the end and swap with a random earlier position.
Take the first N as winners; they are automatically unique.
Fairness
Freeze the list, the number of winners and the draw time; save a screenshot or result.
Cryptographic randomness reduces predictability but does not replace rules and records.
